Sammondano is a non-profit organization to create global
constituent processes through participatory networking software
for transnational citizen groups.

What is the objective of Sammondano?
The mission of Sammondano is to create the initial space and organizational
dynamics to enable the participatory definition of humane policy
and institutional alternatives to current world order and co-ordinate
a collection of strategies to realize those alternatives. To accomplish
this mission, we facilitate the creation and distribution of technologies
that enable networks of transnational organizations to freely gather,
self-organize, get informed, communicate and crystallize their collective
beliefs and action plans in a most effective, participatory and
decentralized manner.

What does "Sammondano" mean?
"Sammondano" is an Esperanto word and it means "those who share the same
world”.

Who is behind Sammondano?
Who are the partners of Sammondano? Sammondano is partner of the
Global Democracy Experiment (www.tgde.org), the first simulation
of a working global democracy on the internet.
Sammondano is supported by ParTecs
Inc. (www.partecs.com), a software company developing participatory
technologies. The partner relations are explained in question 10.

If you like the approach of Sammondano, there are many ways to help

- You can join one of our projects: as an individual the Global Democracy

and pre-register for Sammondano.

who want to help making a global democracy possible.

Does SAMMONDANO develop open source or free software technology?
Sammondano believes in the effectiveness of free software and open
source licensing and development models, with a preference for the
former. We believe that decision making and organizational software
used by any democratic organization should possess certain freedoms
of distribution and modification. Therefore, Sammondano will release
its software under some kind of free software licensing, still to
be determined.

9. How do Samretano 0.1 and TGDE work?
Samretano 0.1 technology makes sure that everyone in an organization or network
can influence any aspect of the organization at any time. is guaranteed
by the following decision-making process:
Step 1: Every participant has the right to submit “future votes”,
or proposals, concerning contents, procedures or representatives
of the system.
Step 2: The "future votes" are evaluated by the other
participants and eventually qualified for final voting.
Step 3: The most selected future votes get on a regularly updated
list of “current votes“ for final voting; here the participants
vote in favor or against.
Step 4: Past current votes are collected as “past votes” in an archive.
Past votes with a minimum participation and a majority in favor
are adopted.
Step 5: Through future votes, or by design, the participants elect
a representative (“speaker”). It is the task of the speaker to implement
the program in the reality of the organization addressed. The speaker
(or the participants) can appoint or elect representatives to implement
various tasks.

SAMMONDANO and ParTecs SRL
(Participatory Technologies) is a company created in order to support
Sammondano and tgde. It offers the technology Sammondano and TGDE
need.
SAMMONDANO and The Global Democracy
Experiment Sammondano and the Global Democracy Experiment are
two complementaryt approaches to one vision. For a global constituent
process it is very desirable to have both a participatory decision-making
process for democratic global social actors (Sammondano) and a place
where self-aggregating individuals can jointly develop initiatives
for a new democratic world order. Such groups will constitute an
invaluable resource for fresh ideas on how to solve global problems
and how to devise durable solutions.Therefore, Sammondano and tgde
are partner organizations and enrich each other to accomplish a
common goal.
Sammondano
and CPSR Public Sphere Project
(Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility) is a non-profit
organization providing the public and policymakers with realistic
assessments of the power, promise, and problems of information technology.
Sammondano supports this goal and works together with CPSR to accomplish
